On 20–21 May 2026, the international event “ReferNet Partnership Forum 2026” was held in Bonn, Germany, organized by Cedefop and Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training /BIBB/. The forum brought together representatives of the ReferNet network from various European countries to exchange good practices and discuss current topics in the field of vocational education and training (VET).
During the forum, participants discussed trends and policies related to the development of vocational education systems in Europe, with a particular focus on the quality of training, the role of small and medium-sized enterprises, international mobility, and the application of artificial intelligence in VET.
As part of the session “Excellence in VET”, Bulgaria presented the latest legislative changes and initiatives aimed at modernising the vocational education and training system. The presentation attracted considerable interest among participants and provided an opportunity for exchanging experience with partners from other countries.
Special attention during the forum was given to:
- the development of vocational education and training systems in Germany
- international mobility in VET;
- the use of artificial intelligence in education and training;
- future activities of the ReferNet network related to AI and vocational education and training.
Participation in the forum contributed to strengthening international cooperation and the exchange of good practices among ReferNet partners, while also promoting Bulgarian experience in the development of vocational education and training.
