On 3 December 2024, a Regional Conference on “European Dimensions of Vocational Education and Training” was held in Kyustendil, Bulgaria, as part of the activities of the ReferNet Bulgaria network.
The conference presented the main highlights and key achievements of the ReferNet network throughout 2024, showcasing its contribution to the exchange of information and good practices in vocational education and training (VET) across Europe.
Participants were introduced to several Cedefop online resources, including sections of its website providing comprehensive information on VET systems in European countries, national VET policies, and comparative analytical tools.
The event also featured demonstrations of Cedefop’s data and monitoring instruments, such as the European Skills Index (ESI) and STASS (Skills Tracking and Anticipation System), which enable users to compare countries across a range of indicators related to skills development, labour market performance, and vocational education and training.
The conference provided participants with valuable insights into European developments in VET and encouraged the use of Cedefop’s resources to support evidence-based policy-making and the continuous improvement of vocational education and training systems.
