A new Cedefop publication presents the findings of a ReferNet survey on the development of digital tools that support the transparency and portability of learning outcomes across Europe. Covering 28 national systems, the report examines qualifications databases, digital credentials and the use of European tools such as Europass, the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and the European Digital Credentials for Learning infrastructure.
The publication shows that countries are increasingly investing in digital solutions providing information on qualifications and learning opportunities, while the implementation of digital credentials remains uneven. It highlights the need for better interoperability between national systems, stronger coordination and greater use of learning outcomes to support the recognition of qualifications, lifelong learning and the mobility of learners and workers across Europe.
